Housework

We had a chance to add some of our elbow grease to Barbara's house this weekend.
Jeff worked on the newly rediscovered front columns. The maniacs who "remodeled" the house back in the 70s or so decided that the nice fluted columns holding up the roof over the front porch should be covered up with shingles.

A little work with the pry bar and hammer, and voila, we had a column that was back to the future.

Glenn added the deep blue to the new window frames, while explaining the secret of using paint tape and avoiding drips poking under the edge. The same blue was later added to the porch columns.

Meanwhile, Sara was painting the upstairs bathroom a delightful light green. Matched the new tiles just fine, and a solid improvement over the white that preceded it.

While we were hard at work, Lucy figured out how to make a fort on the living room couch, emulating the structures that Jacob and Naomi created from couch pillows many moons ago.
